Recycle your Christmas Cards & plant trees
by Deborah Miarkowska
EcoChic is proud to be members of the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity and they’ve been working for nearly 40 years across the country.
Why not recycle your Christmas cards and support the Woodland Trust who are collecting cards to recycled into newspapers, towels and writing paper and then from the money raised, trees will be planted in their place and the scheme also helps to maintain our woodlands. With your help they’re boldly aiming for 12,000 trees! Their scheme started 12 years ago and since then they have recycled 13,080 tonnes of cards and planted 155,000 trees.
Simply drop your unwanted cards into the collection boxes at WHSmith, Marks and Spencer and TK Maxx stores.
Plus, you can get involved and have your say where the Trust’s trees get planted, log on to www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/cards and vote for which area of the country you think needs new trees.
Feel good, reduce, reuse & recycle.
